The second volume of the series documents lectures held as part of the Berlin Seminar Recht im Kontext (Law in Context) at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin / Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin – complemented by reflections on the internationalization of legal scholarship which were discussed at the Forum Transregionale Studien.
Marietta Auer creates a triptych of the development of private law in the modern age, Rainer Wahl contextualizes constitutions, Anne Peters develops the idea of the subjective international right. Gerhard Wagner suggests a reprogramming of directors’ and officers’ liability in order to promote socially desired behavior, Günter Frankenberg questions the innocence of legal comparatists. And Thomas Duve charts the internationalization and transnationalization of legal scholarship – from a German perspective.
