With the Act on Accelerating Housing Construction and Securing Housing of 27 October 2025 (BGBl. 2025 I No. 257) and the Act Implementing the Provisions of Directive (EU) 2023/2413 (BGBl. 2025 I No. 189), new regulations aimed at expediting the approval of housing construction projects and energy transition projects have entered into force. These regulations have far-reaching implications for the existing relationship between land-use planning and project approval. This volume of conference proceedings examines the associated requirements and challenges just a few months after the regulations entered into force.
