Residenzschloss Mannheim

The virtual reconstruction of cultural properties is proving to be an effective, contemporary way of making valuable monuments and their history tangible and understandable in a lively way. This volume documents the digital resurrection of the flat of Elector Carl Philipp von Pfalz-Neuburg and his lost state bedroom in the Electoral Palace of Mannheim. The first section brings together findings, considerations and suggestions for interpretation with regard to what the newly built residence may have looked like in the first decades of its existence. In the second section, readers are taken into the digital workshop and learn how the research findings were turned into a virtual reality.
