Description
Origen of Alexandria (fl. AD 185-253) has been celebrated as the “Father of the Fathers” of early Christian theology. Beginning in his systematic theology ‘On First Principles’. He has interpreted logic as a simulation of speech in argument, which is assumed into the divine Logos, communicated by Christ, and radically shaped by the divine persons of God as Trinity. He has, with his “spiritual sense” of reading, illustrated how logic is virtually “interwoven” in all philosophical science, and supremely through the mystical or “epoptic” science of theology. This book illustrates how Origen’s logic should thus be read by a spiritual hermeneutic for a theological interpretation of logic, that is, a “theology of logic.”
