Sanktionsdurchgriffe und Compliance im Konzern

The legal separation (corporate veil) between individual entities of a group of companies is a fundamental principle in corporation law. In contradiction to this principle, for effective sanctioning individual entities within a corporate group are increasingly sanctioned (directly or indirectly) for legal violations committed by other entities within the same group. This thesis analyzes and systematizes these new forms of piercing the corporate veil, which are present in competition law, financial market law and data protection law. The implications of this newly established corporate group responsibility on compliance obligations are comprehensively examined.
