Sekundäre Viktimisierung durch Strafverfahren wegen sexualisierter Gewalt

Anyone who reports sexual violence or advises others to do so hopes for a positive outcome. In reality, however, victims often experience additional harm in criminal proceedings, known as secondary victimization. As part of this study, eleven narrative interviews were evaluated to learn more about secondary victimization in this context, its forms, and its origins. The results present eight secondary victimization effects and four secondary victimizing structures. Subsequently, legal policy recommendations are derived that aim to holistically improve the experiences of victims in criminal proceedings for sexual violence.
