The anthology presents interdisciplinary approaches to the topic from both research and practice. In addition to Jewish and Muslim perspectives, the volume also examines viewpoints from security agencies, religious studies, political science, and sociology. This approach succeeds in illustrating the kaleidoscope of security for readers and, in times of increasing uncertainty, helps them understand the “eternal” tension between interpretive power and interpretive authority in the context of security. The work is suitable for academic teaching and research as well as for practical work. The editor’s research areas include the prevention of violent extremism and group-focused hostility.
