In the context of current developments in care and health policy in Germany, nursing classification systems play a central role in nursing practice, professionalisation and digitalization. Danielle Schramm employs a qualitative descriptive research design to examine not only the potentials and challenges of using such systems, but also the technology acceptance, and situates the findings within an international context. The analysis of expert interviews provides a basis for practice-oriented improvements and emphasises the importance of nursing classification systems for sustainable digital care planning and documentation.
