Stress und seine Auswirkungen auf Wohlbefinden und Lebensqualität von jungen Menschen

Based on an empirical study, this publication investigates how young people perceive selected support services and structural conditions within Vienna’s Homeless Assistance System. Particular attention is paid to subjective stress appraisal and its associations with self-efficacy, social connectedness, well-being, and quality of life. Using paper-and-pencil and online survey methods, data were collected from young people aged 16 to 26. The findings offer important insights for social work research and practice and support the ongoing development of services for homeless and housing-insecure young people, including care leavers. The author is an experienced social worker in homelessness services and a university lecturer in social work.
