Description
Little is known about the lives of Islamic communities in Germany's economic and high-tech centres. What is life like for these communities in Stuttgart, the largest city in south-west Germany with a population of 2.7 million? The Stuttgart Islam Study now provides facts and figures. A follow-up to the Stuttgart Worship and Community Study, it was also conducted at the Liebenzell Institute for Missiological, Religious, Intercultural and Social Studies (LIMRIS). Through empirical research, reliable visitor numbers from Islamic communities have been determined. Alongside presenting and interpreting this data, the study contains portraits of two Islamic communities and religiously active Muslims, as well as contributions from Christian and Muslim authors.
