Description
For Central and Eastern European countries, the adaptation of their competition rules to European Union Law as well as the creation of adequate administrative structures for their implementation in the context of accession to or association with the EU is particularly challenging after so many years of central economic planning by the state.
The subject matter of this study is the adaptation of the Turkish competition law to EU competition rules on the basis of the Association Agreement between Turkey and the European Union. It analyzes by way of comparison the prohibition of cartels, the prohibition of abuses of a dominant position as well as the control of mergers, including the Turkish enforcement practice and the European Court of Justice.
This is a comprehensive scholarly study on the current Turkish Competition Law. It is at the same time a valuable source of information for legal practice.
