Transmission Network Access Regulation in the European Gas Market

European gas transmission network access regulation aims to create a situation where non-discriminatory network access leads to competition in the gas market. As transmission networks occupy a special role in the European gas market and the regulatory processes are highly problematical, not least because of the still ongoing complaints about absent competition, the present dissertation analyzes, systematizes and evaluates the fundamental issues around European gas transmission network access regulation from an economic point of view. It is thus of high interest for all parties involved or interested in this topical process, since it is a basic and comprehensive work on a more or less stuck debate.
