Description
Globalized markets pose problems for law makers, management, business organizers and auditors. The conventional approach on its own will not suffice for their solution. This is why the concept of transparency is becoming increasingly important in both investment and consumer protection circles. The author backs up his approach with the help of examples taken from banking, stock exchange and media law.
As he does this it becomes clear that transparency is not a term applicable exclusively to banking, stock exchange and media law. Instead, it acquires its functional importance in relation to a given regulatory field. Our author delves at length into pertinent initiatives on the part of the European Commission and Federal Germany"s Constitutional Court while, in pointing to feasible solutions regarding issues as yet unsolved, he takes us further still.
His book is aimed mainly at the decision makers in legislation, the administration and the economy, as well as their advisers and all experts in banking, stock exchange and media law.
Heinz-Joseph Loddenkemper works in the investment banking department of a bank.
