Universalität – Freiheit – Geschichtlichkeit

This edited volume brings together theological companions of Bernhard Nitsche in dialogue with his work. It focuses on key themes in his theology and philosophy of religion: the question of God from an anthropological perspective, understandings of subject and person, the God-world relation (theism, panentheism, pantheism), as well as Christology, Trinitarian theology, and revelation in the context of a transcendental account of freedom. Methodologically, Nitsche’s historically sensitive transcendental philosophy is explored, particularly the relationship between genesis and validity. Additional contributions address interreligious, ecclesiological, and contemporary diagnostic perspectives.
