Young Academics: Flucht und Migration in der postmigrantischen Gesellschaft
Description
This work offers new perspectives on German migration history by shedding light on previously overlooked experiences of Kurdish guest workers. It focuses on the life stories of individuals from Ovacık who migrated to Solingen in the 1970s and 1980s. Based on qualitative interviews and an expert interview, Canê Keser examines migration, identity and belonging. The author grew up in Solingen, has family roots in Ovacık and combines her personal connection to the topic with an academic analysis of Kurdish migration.
