Description
Suffering a crime can be a life-changing event for the victims, resulting in various economic, physical and psychological impairments. This gives rise to various needs and expectations that are directed at state institutions. This study, which focuses on criminal procedural law, sheds light on existing possibilities as well as the potential for considering the interests of injured parties in state proceedings aimed at dealing with criminal offenses. In addition to an analysis of criminal procedural law and social compensation law, the work deals with alternative victim-centered procedures.

The work was honoured with the 2025 Nachwuchspreis (Young Researcher Award) by WEISSER RING and the Federal Criminal Police Office.
