Vermeidung von Einwegkunststoffartikeln im Recht der Kreislaufwirtschaft

Single-use plastic items significantly pollute the (marine) environment. One of the main reasons is waste that stems from on-the-go-consumption. The EU reacted to this problem by adopting the Single-Use Plastics Directive, which had to be implemented by 3rd of July 2021. The author analyses the directive in its regulatory context and develops criteria for the implementation of the reduction of consumption of single-use plastic items for on-the-go-consumption. In the subsequent legal comparison of the implementation of the directive, she points out that the need for readjustment in Germany is high compared to the neighbouring country France.
