Vernetzte Lebenswelten in der Hünenburg-Außensiedlung bei Watenstedt, Ldkr. Helmstedt

In times of globalization and intercontinental networking, but also of ongoing crises, the terms migration and mobility have become an integral part of our everyday lives and media coverage. While they are de facto proven for early history thanks to existing written sources, corresponding evidence for prehistory is much more difficult to find and can hardly be obtained without scientific investigations. Using the example of the Hünenburg, it was possible to outline a communication network for Early Bronze Age Central Europe and shed light on how societies dealt with foreigners and foreignness.
