Vertrauen verbindet

Domestic violence affects women regardless of their background, culture or religion – yet access to protection and support is not equally available to all. The BBF e.V.’s ‘Vertrauen verbindet’ (Trust Connects) project addresses this issue, focusing in particular on the lived experiences of women perceived as Muslim. The project centres on culturally and religiously sensitive approaches to prevention, counselling and support. This publication combines insights from the project’s work with expert input. It demonstrates how trust and a nuanced approach can break down barriers, enabling those affected to be reached more effectively and empowered in the long term.
