Umweltrechtliche Studien – Studies on Environmental Law
Description
In view of the rapidly declining GHG removal capacity of forest ecosystems, the current management regime is put to the climate test. In her work, the author examines the question of what part (national) forestry law plays in the current forest damage situation and how it should be structured in order to serve as a medium for social transformation processes towards climate-effective forest management. In doing so, the author relies on a consistent orientation of forest management towards forest ecosystem boundaries (so called ecosystem based approach) and this (also) with recourse to regulatory law.
