Wandel im Engagement

Social changes such as digitalisation or increasing polarisation are reflected in civic engagement. This special volume brings together research findings on the topics of digitalisation and digitality, social inequalities and and structures that promote engagement. The articles examine how change is reflected in engagement, how far it extends and how organisations deal with it. The results indicate that civic engagement primarily reacts to social change and (still) plays little active role in shaping it.
