Wem gehört der Körper?

Today, the increasing public institutionalisation and private commercialisation of medical services meets the equally increasing desire for self-determination over one's own lifestyle and body. Private health appears as an individual investment in one's own body, while ‘global health’ appears as a political responsibility. Digitalisation, AI and robotics could further intensify the potential conflicts between health self-determination and state-regulated healthcare and prevention. This volume explores the question of how much responsibility or obligation for health should be assumed by the individual and how much by public institutions and their experts.
