Diskriminierung und rechte Gewalt an Schulen

‘When school is no longer a safe place’ – This research provides professionals in the fields of (school) social work, the school system, and educational and counselling services with nuanced insights into the practice of informal grievance procedures. Drawing on guided interviews, the author focuses on the role of school social workers. The findings offer food for thought regarding reflection on one’s own work and the development of formal procedures. Despite structural challenges, the school social workers interviewed take on a wide range of tasks in their role as the central point of contact for pupils affected by issues or seeking advice.
