Wer bin ich und warum fühle ich mich anders?

There are large gaps in the research of queer lifeworlds and the field of LGBTQ+ research. Kerstin Probst and Lara Fößel address this desideratum and examine how media content influences the identity development of queer youth. Interviews with experts-by-experience show that media can also be a resource in the process of self-discovery and how important it is to have a media landscape that reflects diverse gender identities. The authors give suggestions for social work practice and show how professionals can strengthen their competence in working with queer youth. But also teachers and teachers in extracurricular educational work receive profitable impulses.
