Werde, der du bist!

Man, so says a well-known word of Herder, is the first released of the creation, the not established animal (Nietzsche). We have been given the task of making something of ourselves. We have to learn to develop our skills and abilities, to balance our temperament and to form our character. We search for the meaning of our existence: Why do I exist? What am I here for? What is my calling? What does it mean to be a true human being? The art of becoming and forming ourselves is one of the great challenges of the art of living. So we should and must educate ourselves. But how and with which goal? The book Werde, der du bist! explores these questions and also deals with ideologies of our time, such as trans- and posthumanism.
