I/II: Addenda to Wilhelm Grimm’s Kleinere Schriften, which were published after Hinrichs’ edition or not attributed by Hinrichs to Wilhelm Grimm (see the preface to vol. 31 of the research edition). These addenda augment the two first volumes of the Kleinere Schriften. III: Introductions and excerpts from critical commentaries on the individually published editions of Middle High German texts. Passages of commentary have only been included if they are still of interest today or are characteristic of Grimm’s philological work. The texts themselves are better accessible in the critical editions in use today and even Hinrichs did not generally include Grimm’s textual editions in his edition of Grimm’s works.
