Description
Competitivity characterizes human interaction in play events inside and outside the theater, which manifests itself in the performance of specific structures and patterns of order. This form of performance in contemporary productions, such as “Dance Me!” by She She Pop (2022), “odysseus.live” by punktlive (2022) or “Hexenjagd” by Saarländisches Staatstheater (2019), and differently framed, agonal play practices, such as “Mensch ärgere Dich nicht”, “Jugend debattiert” or the popular TV show “Let's Dance”, can be described with the concept of Competition dramaturgy. Clemens Brill develops this concept as a tool for spatio-temporal analysis on the basis of social, theater and game theory.
