Wiedergeburt

The age-old dream of life leaving itself behind remains the great challenge of philosophy. For a long time, it has allowed itself to be led down the wrong path of a search that was supposed to show man a way out of time itself. The thought that the monumental two-part book "Wiedergeburt" ("Rebirth") follows leads precisely in the opposite direction: not to overcome time, but to turn it around. It is the thought of the past that was never present.
The first part traces this thought – along seemingly quite disparate paths through the thicket of the common roots of induction and evolution, of the struggle with art that enters into itself in its work, to that of the paradoxes of the non-internal beginning of time. The second part then follows the trail in a movement of thought back into the layers and stages of man's consciousness of the origin of his society. In the end, time lost in it is found again: not as the goal of the search that led into this book, but as that of the redemption of it that leads into it.
