Wirtschaft als Erste Philosophie?

In the wake of modernist philosophy, economic thinking has become the dominant interpretation of the world. It has become seamlessly integrated into our everyday thinking through its radically simple decision-making logic. It is stabilised by its own ruling class, the management, which has long since not only managed companies, by social discourses that present the economy as the solution to all problems, and by quasi-religious promises of salvation. But when the instrument of economics becomes a ‘first philosophy’, the system jeopardises the human. Only if we learn to think differently again can we act differently again: The other is not a competitor, time is not scarce, and the world is not a business case.
