Wissensvernetzung und Metropolregion

In the course of economic structural change, a knowledge-intensive economy has prevailed, which is characterized by pronounced knowledge networking. This enables the optimization of forms of cooperation which are indispensable for innovation processes. A knowledge-based strategy approach that focuses on the promotion of knowledge networks, however, requires a substantial knowledge of cooperation interrelations. This requires empirically based network analyses.
The regional level is of central importance as a platform for this exchange of information and knowledge. The regional knowledge network of the Hanover-Brunswick-Göttingen-Wolfsburg metropolitan region is therefore examined as an example.
