How can social time-spaces be considered and explored? Based on this question and in a first step, this book theoretically formulates and methodologically reflects on the conceptual foundations of the social connection between time and space, drawing on the idea of phenomenotechnics. In a second step, it applies these conceptual foundations by means of an exemplary analysis of student time-space constellations. For this purpose, it uses an innovative combination of quantitative geometric and qualitative cartographic approaches, which not only makes dominant temporal–spatial patterns and their backgrounds visible, but also opens up new research perspectives in higher education.
