Zu den Erwartungen an die ‚ureigene‘ Aufgabe von Tatrichter:innen

Criticism of the inadequacies of jurists' handling of witness statements and of their insufficient education in this area has been voiced many times for decades. A systematic examination in the sense of determining the necessary qualifications in legal and legal-psychological terms and a subsequent empirical examination of the actual situation with regard to the level of knowledge of judges and the content of their training has not yet been carried out. The author addresses this gap in jurisprudential and empirical research on a central aspect of criminal procedure.
