Zugänge zu Kultur von und durch Musik

This anthology explores Jewish cultural heritage from the perspectives of music education, musicology and cultural studies. A particular focus is placed on identifying emic and etic perspectives which, in connection with the DFG Priority Programme 2357 ‘Jewish Cultural Heritage’, seek to establish links with Critical Heritage Studies. This paves the way for new interpretations of Jewish heritage in Germany and internationally. The topics covered open up new avenues for re-examining the Jewish music educator and cultural policy-maker Leo Kestenberg and for embedding him within broader discourses on Jewish cultural heritage.
