Zwischen gesellschaftlichem Wandel, regulativer Gestaltung und digitaler Transformation

Public service universities have increasingly emancipated themselves as scientifically distinguished institutions. Not only, but especially with this award, top student achievements in the context of diploma, bachelor's and master's theses have been established. After the establishment of a nationwide award for outstanding scientific theses in 2017, the growing number of applications is now being taken into account for the eighth time by this new type of anthology. And with the national e-government competence center (NEGZ), an additional prize for “digital transformation” was awarded for the first time in 2023. From problems with electoral law reforms to topics related to populism research and equal opportunities to numerous focal points of innovative police work, e.g. the consequences of the corona pandemic or deep fakes, numerous orientations of the public service are represented in this anthology. Particularly noteworthy are the innovative and comprehensively analyzed topics that the students dedicated to their theses with particular meticulousness, dedication and ultimately great success.
