Antisemitismus in der Kunst

The book combines art-historical and social-scientific analyses of antisemitism in the art world. Taking documenta fifteen as a starting point, it highlights historical continuities and contemporary manifestations. For the first time, Jewish perspectives on antisemitism in art are examined empirically: a qualitative interview study reconstructs the experiences of Jewish artists and reveals specific dynamics. Since October 7, 2023, these have intensified significantly—antisemitism has become more acute in an environment where belonging and visibility are increasingly called into question.
