Although legal document generators have existed for some time, they are currently not specifically regulated by law. Sophia Anna Haak first analyses the current legal framework for legal document generators and identifies the need for legislative action. In doing so, she examines, among other things, the obligation to obtain a licence under the Legal Services Act, the information obligations to be complied with, in particular towards the user, as well as liability issues for those involved in the business model. On the basis of the findings, she then develops her own regulatory proposal for legal document generators, which includes an amendment to the Legal Services Act.
