Rocky Glaser analyses the equal value of work with regard to ensuring relative equal pay and refers to the relevant provisions in the respective legal systems. On this basis, he identifies uniform structural lines and areas of friction. Up to now, too little attention has been paid to the interplay of legal conditions. As a result, the principle of equal pay for work of equal value will in future become a reality in German law, albeit with some modifications. This is based on EU directive law and the principle of equal treatment under labour law as well as Article 3 (1) of the German Basic Law.
