Illegaler Kunst- und Kulturgüterhandel

This work examines the legal framework and challenges of trade in art and cultural goods. The first part examines the complex interfaces between the relevant areas of law at the national and international levels. In order to develop practical solutions, the second part is devoted to exemplary cases of illegal trade. International trade is particularly problematic: Looted excavations and smuggling blur the traces of origin, and the effectiveness of national and international protective measures remains limited. This is where the argumentation comes in, showing the limits and possibilities of legal and political solutions.
