Vergewaltigungsmythen und Präventionsschulungen in der evangelischen Kirche

The way individuals think about sexual violence influences the behaviour of institutions. In recent years, the problem of sexual violence in the church has become apparent. As part of its prevention work, the Protestant Church in Germany conducts prevention training based on the concept of “hinschauen – helfen – handeln.” Janina Haus examines the effectiveness of these training courses by conducting a quantitative pre-post survey on the acceptance of rape myths among volunteers and professional staff of the Protestant Church of Westphalia. She relates the results to church structures and existing theories of adult education.
