Sexualized violence in residential care groups for children and young people has been a much-discussed issue since the numerous abuse scandals became public in 2010. Against this background, the development of protection concepts has become a central task of child and youth welfare. This book analyses the collective orientations of professionals in residential care groups using Bohnsack’s documentary method. It highlights the challenges that exist in the concrete establishment of protection and the implications for research and social work practice.
