Zentralisierung politischer Macht am Beispiel türkischer Außenpolitik

The example of Turkey, which shows strong tendencies towards an authoritarian regime, shows that domestic and foreign policy are inextricably linked. To what extent is Turkish foreign policy under Erdoğan determined by the necessity of maintaining domestic power? Internal consolidation of power is necessary for the AKP government to achieve domestic stability and legitimacy among the population. In authoritarian systems, the amalgamation of power and material prosperity as well as political freedom play a special role, as a loss of power means the simultaneous loss of the others. This amalgamation can be seen in the example of Turkey, especially when the power of the top management is called into question.
