Description
Fanny Moser's scientific career—which was anything but self-evident for women at the beginning of the 20th century—unites seemingly contradictory fields of research: biology and occultism, jellyfish and haunting, science and séance. Initially a recognised doctor of zoology, she devoted the second half of her life exclusively to the study of occult phenomena, especially haunting, and regarded parapsychology as the ‘science of the future’. This collection of essays traces the unconventional biography of this female researcher and pays tribute to the multifaceted life and legacy of the first female donor to the Freiburg Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Health.
