Description
Legal tech companies acting as collection agencies have conquered the legal services market in Germany with a new kind of class action. This work takes a comprehensive look at the admissibility of these business models. In addition, it demonstrates their importance for collective redress by comparing them with other instruments available under German law for dealing with scattered and mass damages. The conclusion is that these legal tech class actions currently serve an important function by filling a gap in collective redress. Based on her experience as a judge, the author combines a practical perspective with a scientific approach.

Reviews
