Basel III Legal Implementation in the EU

The implementation of the new Basel framework of December 2017 will be a significant change for banks in the European Union. With EBA’s publications on the call for advice of the EU Commission in the second half of 2019, the process for the legal implementation of the final Basel III Regulations has now started.
This Guide provides an overview of the adjustments to the essential existing banking supervisory require­ments at EU level, which result both from the legal texts of the banking package already finalized in 2019 and from the Call for Advice for Basel III implementation, e.g.:
