Bewegtes Lernen
Description
Schools should provide an environment for learning with all senses, including the sense of movement. The methodical material provides specific examples for learning in motion in primary schools in the subjects German, mathematics and general studies with the aims:
• Additional access to information is to be opened up, e.g. experiencing and understanding music using body language or motions of dancing.
• The processing of information can be optimised by gathering information while walking as well as by switching seats while fulfilling tasks.
• Learning in motion also helps to prevent children from sitting in one position for too long. In addition, it can increase the pleasure in learning. Moreover, pupils are to connect independent learning with movement. They are to look for new variations and to work with a partner.
