Bildungssoziologie

This book offers a compact introduction to the sociological perspective on education and social inequalities during the course of a person’s education. The first part provides a conceptual and theoretical framework, which presents the significance of education and education systems as well as theoretical approaches to educational inequalities. In the second part, the areas of education from early childhood education to further vocational training are analysed from an inequality perspective. To conclude, the authors analyse educational inequalities in relation to the course of a person’s education. This introductory study is aimed at students of sociology, education and educational science as well as all those interested in disciplines related to those fields.
