Brachflächenrecycling

As part of the German Sustainability Strategy, the Federal Government has set a nationwide goal for the reduction of land use. The effects on the natural functions of the soil, the economic structure of a municipality and the impact on the society are often underestimated. The revitalization of now unused urban areas in particular has a great potential. This publication provides a basis for a more in-depth discussion and supports impulses for a resource-conserving use of land and the practical implementation based on the project of the former Hassel coking plant, so that the needs of future generations can be satisfied.
