Das Ausland als Lern- und Experimentierfeld

The present volume contributes to a better understanding of the potential of a year abroad as a field of learning and experimentation in adolescence. By means of a qualitative study, the aim is to produce comprehensive analyses in which the initial situation, the course of stay and the experienced impacts are considered in a coherent manner. The special feature of the study is its longitudinal design while keeping the composition of the investigated group the same. The data collected in this way at different times of stay over a period of two years allows for deeper insights into the reality constructions of the examined persons.
