The study provides readers with a well-founded overview of the new legal situation regarding the reprocessing of single-use devices under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and its impact on practice and science. It systematically analyzes the changes compared to the old regulation, identifies improvements and challenges and offers reform proposals for Art. 17 MDR. Methods such as comparative law and normative argumentation form the basis of the analysis.
