Details
The competition rules of the EC-Treaty are directly applicable in the Member States. Therefore, the national courts play an important role in the implementation of European competition law.
The editor of this volume has initiated a research project which analyses the national case laws in the EU member states. A first volume published in 1992 contained the national reports from the United Kingdom and Italy. A second volume contained the national reports from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and Ireland. The third phase of the project was devoted to Germany, the report is presented in this volume.
The project is designed to make the national case law accessible to lawyers practising in the field of European competition law. The Community organs get an overview of the implementation of Community law in Member States. Those interested in research find rich material for further comparative studies.
